2008 Nba-olympics Basketball!

Congratulations to those players seleted for the United States Men’s Olympic Basketball Team from Coach Jamaal of Boise’s Jamaal Al-Din’s Hoops 227- the everything basketball website!!! This year the Olympic Summer Games are being held in Beijing, China…the home of “chow Mein,” lo Mein, ans Coach J’s favorite- szchezwaun beef!!! The USA Basketball Executive Committee is responsible for the selection process and let’s just say it’s fantastic to select from the NBA who plays host to the most extraordinary basketball talent in the world!!!

Mike Krzyzewski of the storied Duke University NCAA basketball program in Durham, North Carolina (ACC), is the Head Basketball Coach of the United States Olympic Basketball Senior Team. Nate McMillan, Mike D’Antoni and Jim Boeheim of the Portland Trailblazers, New York Knicks and Syracuse Univerity, respectively, are USA the Olympic Basketball Assistant Coaches for the 2008 Olympic Games held in Beijing, China.

Team members include these Inhabitant Basketball Association stars!

Carmelo Anthony- Denver Nuggets; the explosive Carmelo Anthony is a versatile NBA talent from Baltimore, Maryland and Syracuse University. With an NCAA basketball championship he’s now paired up with Allen Iverson (“The Answer”) in Denver with hope of bringing a title to the Mile High City!
Chris Bosh- Toronto Raptors; Chris Bosh is a unusual leaper with unparalleled basketball skills in the paint. Chris Bosh’s athleticism makes for exciting NBA dunks and “rim shakers!” NBA basketball at its finest and will be fireworks to see him paired up, on the basketball hardwood, with the likes of Kobe Bryant (Los Angeles Lakers) and LeBron (“King”) James (Cleveland Cavaliers)!
Michael Redd- Milwaukee Bucks; Michael Redd’s terrific long range game is TOPPS in the NBA and all through Olympic play it will be enteresting to see him play bombs away against international basketball teams. Michael Redd played collegiately at Ohio State University.
Deron Williams- Utah Jazz; Deron Williams has both a passionate basketball inside game and outside jumper. Slashes his way through opponents with penetration similar to a vibrant “Rookie” basketball version of Gary Payton (The Glove- from Oregon State University). Deron Williams played collegiately at the University of Illinois (Huge 10/NCAA)
Chris Paul- New Orleans Hornets; Chris Paul had arguably the best season of all Inhabitant Basketball Association (NBA) players and and some basketball fans, writers and critics, feel as though he should have won the NBA’s MVP award. Chris Paul is a versatile Top Guard with a knack for penetrating the lane and making havok for defenders, as huge men in the middle have to converge, leaving wide open jump shots for Chris Paul’s (CP’s) teammates in New Orleans. The New Orleans Hornets are having an exciting time with NBA basketball and Olympic basketball fans will be watching one of the best top guards in the modern NBA! Chris Paul played for the Wake Forrest Devil Deacons of the NCAA’s Atlantic Coast Conference (notable ACC basketball programs: Duke University, University of Maryland, North Carolina State University, Florida State University and University of North Carolina).
Tayshaun Prince- (Coach Jamaal’s)! Detroit Pistons; Tayshaun Prince is a wirey, smooth shooting guard with fantastic touch. Coach Jamaal Al-Din of Jamaal Al-Din’s Hoops 227 grew up as a Detroit Pistons fan, watching Isiah Thomas, Joe Dumars, Bill Laimbeer, John Salley, Mark Aguire and Dennis Rodman. It will be basketball heaven to watch Tayshaun Prince teamed up with guards like Chris Paul (Wake jungle Deamon Deacons/ New Orleans Hornets) and Deron Williams (University of Illinois “Fighting” Illini/ Utah Jazz). Tayshaun Prince played NCAA basketball at the University of Kentucky (“Wildcats”) for Coach Tubby Smith.
Dwight Howard- Orlando Magic; an extraordinary physical basketball talent who is quickly making his mark on the entire Inhabitant Basketball Association (NBA). Dwight Howard (see 227′s You Tube- Dwight Howard), is a physical inside player who rebounds and scores with the best basketball centers and forwards in the NBA. Look for Howard to hegemony the paint like SHAQ (Phoenix Suns) and dominate Olympic play. Noted for his well-known U Tube (YouTube, you tube, utube) “Hero” dunk, Dwight Howard came into the NBA right after high-school, like his NBA counter-part…Kobe Bryant (of the 81 top performance, which can be seen on YouTube)!
Dwayne Wade- Miami Heat; D-Wade of the marketing NBA creatives, is a slashy, creative, shooting guard witha championship ring to go with the exceptional performance he place on all through the NBA Finals against the Dallas Mavericks. Dwayne Wade’s game is versatile and should flourish all through Olympic style basketball play. Dwayne Wade played collegiately at Marquette University (NCAA).
Kobe Bryant- Los Angeles Lakers; Kobe Bryant… well, Kobe Bryant, need I say more. An 81 top scoring outburst and a phenominal 2007-08 season with the Los Angeles Lakers which culminated in a Western Conference Championship. Kobe will be a special basketball treat for all Olympic basketball fans. Kobe entered the NBA right out of high-school, similiar to the legendary Moses Malone (“4, 4, 4″) and Darryl Dawkins “Chocolate Thunder!”  Kobe is a product of Philly.
LeBron James- Cleveland Cavaliers; the most electrifying dunker of modern NBA basketball  and arguably all-time. LeBron’s passionate game of dunk-you-very-much and power has took the Inhabitant Basketball Association by storm! LeBron is only a blink away from establishing himself as the epitome of NBA shooting guards with might and power to go by the side of with his basketball intelligence which is unmatched! LeBron James came into the NBA, right after high-school and was regarded highly as everyone’s McDonald’s Basketball All-American, from Ohio.
Carlos Boozer- Utah Jazz; the ex- Duke University Blue Devil is a fierce inside presence and has a soft touch, he’ll be an asset teamming up with Deron Williams, as they’re teammates with the Western Conference Utah Jazz in the NBA.

Some of the basketball members of the United States Men’s Basketball (USA) Team have had experience with FIBA Basketball, and the World Championships. Stay tuned and watch the best of the best USA basketball talent all through the Olympics in Beijing, China. Coach Jamaal Al-Din of Jamaal Al-Din’s Hoops 227 says “Excellent Luck, red, white and blue!” Jamaal Al-Din is a ex- player of Olympic scoring record setter, Ed Palubinskas, who played at BYU-Idaho (formerly Ricks College) and LSU. Coach Palubinskas is a member of the Australia Basketball Hall of Fame. Jamaal Al-Din’s Hoops 227- the everything basketball website!

Played for the fantastic, legendary Coach Ed Palubinskas of Olympic fame and college description. Ed Palubinskas set Olympic scoring records while playing for the Australian Olympic Basketball Inhabitant Team and is well kwown for shooting accuracy so much that he tutored the fantastic NBA Legend Shaquille O’Neal while with the NBA’s Los Angeles Lakers and currently the NBA World Champion Miami Heat! Reasons Why Independent League Baseball Is Worth Following

If you have heard about the professional independent minor league baseball teams and leagues, sometimes called the “indy leagues”, then you may have wondered why you should pay attention to them.  Since the leagues are not affiliated with the Minor League Baseball teams, many people dismiss these leagues and teams without much thought.

Here are four reasons why you should pay attention to independent baseball:

First, independent baseball virtually guarantees that fans get something which they claim to want for a long time:  seeing professional athletes who make less than the fans do!  The players rarely receive any money all through the off-season, and most have to work jobs from September through April in order to have the ability to play all through the summer.  Many people do not know this, but a Major League superstar making million a year oftentimes makes more per game than the entire season’s player payroll of an independent baseball team!

Since many players in independent baseball get signed to contracts with affiliated Minor League teams, the perceived discrepancy in talent is not as wide as many may reckon.  This means that fans get to see quality professional baseball at a fantastic price and have the opportunity to cheer for the underdog player who may have been overlooked.  Over 30 players who have MLB experience started their pro careers in the independent leagues, having never been signed to a Minor League contract previous to throwing their first professional pitch or at bat.  Kevin Millar and Chris Coste are just two examples of players whose careers started in the independent leagues.

Second, you may want to consider following independent baseball because you get to see players who truly play for the like of the game.  An “insider’s secret” about professional baseball is that there are many guys sitting at home who, after a few weeks of getting in shape, could play in the independent leagues.  Whether the guys are beginning careers, families, have legal concerns, nagging injuries, or simply didn’t have the funds to travel to several tryouts, they are not in uniform for one reason or another.  Many era, but, a player will not play because he believes – oftentimes incorrectly – that he is “worth more money” than what an independent team is paying.

This means that fans get to see players who genuinely care about playing baseball regardless of the financial situation.  The additional benefit is that many independent leagues, depending on your geography, often offer a quality of play which is superior to a lower-level affiliated team.  This claim is justified by looking at the rosters of several independent baseball teams which have lots of ex- Major Leaguers and Triple-A players.  Odds are that they would beat many “rookie” teams and additional lower-level teams simply due to their physical experience and level of professional playing experience.  Again, this means that fans get terrific baseball at a fantastic price.

Finally, consider following independent baseball because you get to see ex- Major Leaguers who are managing these teams.  All through the 2009 season there were at least 20 independent baseball team managers and coaches with Major League playing experience.  Many of these managers sign autographs, share tales with fans at games, and pass by the side of some tremendous knowledge to their players.  Their experience lends credibility to the independent baseball industry and gives the fans reassurance that they are watching quality baseball.

The next time you read a tale about an independent baseball team hopefully you will have a greater appreciation for the players and managers.  Should you have the opportunity to attend an independent league game then be sure to delight in your time at the game and remember that you will be seeing some terrific baseball.

Basketball Network: How To Pick Which Basketball Social Network To Join?

The success of facebook has spawned an explosion of niche social networks all focusing on specific areas of interest.

There are several Basketball Social Networks that exist online but sadly many of them are nothing more than advanced forums.

The basketball community needs to assess basketball social networks according to the regard they grant to basketballers.

There is no top joining a basketball social network if it is a glorified forum or facebook copy cat.

A excellent basketball network will grant basketball fans with many of the following features.

1. A personal Basketball profile page containing all their Basketball photos, videos and additional Basketball specific content.

2. Basketball News Feeds to keep them up to date with everything happening in the world of Basketball

3. Basketball Video Lessons that grant Basketball instruction guaranteed to increase their skill level.

4. Basketball Articles and Tips from some of the top Basketball coaches online.

5. Basketball Equipment Reviews to help make more informed buying decisions.

6. Basketball Forum to network with like minded basketball fans world wide.

7. Basketball web store to buy and sell Basketball equipment

And much more.

Facebook, twitter, myspace and additional general social networks are not dedicated enough to basketball to satisfy the needs of the pure basketball enthusiast.

Fan clubs or groups rarely retain the basketball fans interest for very long.

Basketball fans need a basketball community that blends social networking functionality with cutting edge basketball instruction ranging from quality articles to HD basketball video lessons.

The online basketball social networking space is polluted with many different websites who buy off the shelf software and throw in a few basketball videos and photos, and reckon they have a basketball social network.

This type of basketball community will never flourish because basketball fans will realize the community has no real substance.

So in order to identify a basketball social network worth joining, find one that you can answer yes to the following questions;

1. Does the site grant its members with basketball video lessons that will improve their skill level?

2. Does the site grant its members with basketball news feeds to keep them up to date with all things happening in the world of basketball?

3. Does the site grant its members with valuable basketball articles and tips?

4. Does the site make possible members to set up their own basketball groups?

Independent Professional Baseball Players: Why They Play For Such Little Money

If you have attended an independent professional baseball game then you know that the level of play is equivalent to different levels of the regular “affiliated” Minor Leagues. What is not known by many fans, but, is how small money many of the independent baseball players make.

Unlike many jobs across North America, independent baseball players do not have a union or company department like Human Resources. They can be released nearly at any time, for nearly any reason, and there is usually nothing in their contracts which guarantees any sort of payment after players retire. When told all about this, many fans say, “Why would these players do that?!?”

Here are a few of the reasons:

A genuine like of the game: Many players in independent baseball believe that they have been overlooked by the Major League teams’ scouting departments. They genuinely believe that they deserve a chance to be in an “affiliated” farm team with one of the Major League organizations; and they truly like playing baseball. Many fans whom have attended independent baseball games comment on the hustle and passion of the players. A player who believes that he was overlooked may play with a “chip on his shoulder” in order to prove that he belongs with a Major League-affiliated farm team.

A need to be closer to home: Often, there are a few guys in each independent league who genuinely belong in a higher level of baseball. For whatever reason, but, they need to be closer to home with a less-severe travel schedule. Sometimes players just started a family, others need to help out with a sick family member, and others need the support of friends and family in order to be comfortable with playing at the professional level.

A desire to continue his career in baseball: Many players will play in an independent baseball league in order to gain credibility for his post-playing career. Certain players want to manage or coach in professional baseball, others want to coach at the college level, and others want to transition to the front office of a professional sports team after they retire.

A need for camaraderie: If you have ever watched any documentary about “life in the minors” then you know that the players like playing baseball, delight in crazy clowning around with their teammates, playing cards in the clubhouse, and the chance to develop lifelong friends especially on those long bus trips! If a player is excellent enough to be considered professional then many will take the opportunity to play in the independent leagues because he knows how competitive the demand is. Additional players from around the continent are more than willing to take his spot, so he knows that he part of an elite level of baseball even though it is considered to be independent of the affiliated organizations.

A chance to rebuild his career: Sometimes an extremely talented player ends up in an independent league due to an injury, salary cap go, or simply due to “politics” in methodical baseball. Such a player will play on an independent baseball team in order to prove to scouts that he is healthy, willing to go back at a more economical price, or simply that the additional team which released him made a mistake. In a given year, dozens of players in independent baseball sign contracts with affiliated Minor League teams; and each year a few will get to play in the Major Leagues.

The next time you see an independent baseball game, or if you meet some independent baseball players around town, now you have a better understanding of why they do what they do regardless of the price at which they play. If you ever have said that you reckon pro athletes need to play with more passion and that they are overpaid, then be sure to attend an independent pro baseball game. You will be pleasantly surprised!

If you ever played or worked in independent baseball then you can relate to this article! Be sure to join the free membership for independent baseball veterans at http://www.IndependentBaseballAlumni.com

NFL Youth Football Uniform Sets

Millions of young football fans cherish the thought of in the NFL clothing in place of their favorite Inhabitant Football League team. What keeps many from that dream is the price. Some NFL merchandise is pricey, particularly excellent quality jerseys. Many are being sold for hundreds of dollars, and the higher the quality, or rarer the item, the higher the price. Of course, there are cheap knockoffs of authentic NFL merchandise, but most young football fans will tell you quickly that these simply aren’t what they want. They want clothing that looks excellent, and something close to a real NFL sweater. The NFL brand carries a lot of consequence with them.

Of course some NFL jerseys sold in retail outlets or online aren’t the real thing. If you’ve seen a real NFL sweater hanging on a wall in a football pub, you know how huge they are. Two people can fit comfortably into them. The jerseys were design for large men in even larger shoulder pads. Only the quarterbacks and kickers have shoulder pads that are comparatively smaller than the well padded ones that linebackers wear.

For small children but, a real NFL sweater is too heavy with designs that are too detailed for the child to be grateful for. Kids like it simple and comfortable and they won’t be grateful for an authentic NFL sweater so there’s no top in wasting money on it. A kids sweater needs to be made of a softer material with stitching that won’t cause itching and chafing. You can buy authentic NFL kids clothing online at an NFL shop. Many people buying sports jerseys or receiving them as Christmas gifts learn that they’re perhaps made for pickup football at the local park and not as casual wear.
